This is one of my favourite ever golf shots.

I had the pleasure of playing Royal Birkdale on the Volvo Amateur Tour just a few months after the 2008 Open.  So I had a chance to try and copy the shot….but only in my dreams

Off the same tees, I managed to hit my drive to within a few yards of where Padraig’s ball had been – The second shot was all up hill, into a small target and I’m convinced that even if I had ‘Tee’d up my Driver and spent the whole day trying I wouldn’t even have been able to reach the green.

This was just an awesome shot!
